Warriors Football Club started their Singapore Premier League campaign with a hard fought 1-1 draw against Geylang International Football Club. French forward Jonathan Behe opened his account for the season in the 37th minute. He reacted quickest and sent the ball into the goal from Fadhil Noh’s corner.
Despite dominating for most parts of the game, Warriors could not find a second goal. The best chance fell to Behe who shot the ball past the left-hand post in the 67th minute.
Geylang found the equalizer in the 78th minute when Ryan Syaffiq fired a left-foot shot past Warriors goalkeeper Fashah Iskandar. They eventually finished with 10 men after Zulfadli Zainal was sent off for violent conduct.
