Warriors FC Announces Head Coach for 2017 Season

Warriors FC has announced Head Coach for 2017 season.

Razif Onn will continue to lead Warriors as Head Coach next year.

He was appointed in a combined role of Head Coach for Warriors S.League and Prime League team, whilst also overseeing four of our Centre of Excellence (C.O.E) teams.  The 62-years-old, who has been with the Club since 1999, had numerous successes in the Club’s football development programs.

“I am delighted to be given the opportunity to continue leading our teams and the fact that I was born and bred in this passionate football area, it means a lot to me to be given this responsibility. Despite the frustrations of this season, I have no doubt about the potential and ability within the club’s teams, and I am looking forward to the new season with excitement and enthusiasm”

Coach Razif also said “Our Junior development is something I am very passionate about and will continue to be a key focus for me at Warriors. I believe it is a great testimony when clubs are able to retain junior players from U15’s right through to Professional football.  I will work with my coaching staff and players to bring the best out of everyone, in the coming season”

Club Chairman BG (NS) Lam Shiu Tong said of the coach
“Razif has been a loyal coach with Warriors FC for many years.  His passion and commitment to football development, is respected by everyone in the Club.  He did not have the entire season in 2016 and should be given a chance to select, prepare and build a team for the new season.

Being the Warriors FC’s Head Coach, Razif will be able to influence the training methodology on football fundamentals of both techniques and discipline in the COE teams, Prime League Team and of course, the main S League Team.  I am confident that under Razif’s leadership, his team of coaches and players will have a good season in 2017.”

General Manager Paul Poh added “Razif is highly respected by this group of players, his coaching peers in Warriors and the wider football fraternity, and we absolutely feel that he is the right man to take charge of the team. His re-appointment as head coach also means that the Club will be reviewing the roles and responsibilities of the wider technical team, whilst Razif and I will also discuss bolstering the coaching team to add further support, skills and experience.”
